Countermeasures:
- setting up a substrate gradient (aerobic selector) at biology inflow
- preliminary sedimentation of sewage
- addition of highly ferrous precipitants (e.g. FERRAL FD 1600, FERRAPLUS, FERRACLAR CLASSIC, CONTISOLF Winter)
